“Submerged Crocodile”
Dates back to over 3000 Years, this site was one of Belize’s largest ceremonial centers and displays among the more exotic features of the ancient Maya in art and architecture.
The tour begins with your Pick Up at 8:15AM at specific point.
When in the bus, a short tour briefing before departing for the Maya City of Lamanai.
We journey for one hour and twenty minutes up the Northern Highway to the District of Orange Walk. Along the way one gets to enjoy a detailed history of our country and the Maya Civilization. Here we board a boat and begin our river boating. This boat ride is filled with fun and adventure providing a view of many trees, birds, turtles, lizards, iguanas, butterflies, 50% chance a crocodile and many more wildlife. The boat ride lasts for one hour and fifteen minutes and takes us to the New river Lagoon. We then sit down around picnic tables and have lunch under a shed. Finally we take a tour of Lamanai for two hours. There is a good chance of seeing a black howler monkey here while walking the trails connecting the many Maya temples. After the tour we ride the boat back down the river then board the bus and travel back to specific point Drop Off. Boat service provided by Reyes and Sons.
